Who wants to be my blog buddy?
I found this article from the ProBlogger himself – Darren Rowse where he talked about the power of collaboration in blogging. You can find his article in this link: How to find a blog buddy.
Just to site some highlights, below are the ideas that inspired me to write this post.
- You have a person to voice out concerns, problems and will understand your condition.
- You can get feedback on your articles whether published or prior to posting it live on your site.
- You can have a potential business partner or can work on a project together.
- You can share links for SEO purposes or share posts on each other’s social network and with other bloggers.
- You help each other stay motivated and encouraged.
- You have somebody who you can share tips, tricks and techniques.
Advice in Building Blog Buddy Relationship
I intended this post to be an advice not just for those who will read it but an important lesson for me as well. So as I head off to start connecting with other bloggers and online business owners, here are some few words of advice.
Make it a give-and-take relationship. When you look for a blog buddy, don’t be a parasite to that person. Your first intention should be that the other party will mutually benefit from you. Bloggers are also human, and humans work best when they have a healthy interaction. That’s the reason why social networking sites are so popular.
If possible, look for a blogger in a similar niche. I’m not directly telling you to strictly settle on your topic because this may be impossible for some. Once you’re able to build strong relationship with people in similar niche to you, establish higher level of connection with them. In this way, it will open greater opportunities for you.
Always aim to make each other blog’s better. While our goal is to make our own blog look better every day, it can be relatively powerful if we take that attitude with your blogging buddy’s blog. Make a commitment to make each other’s blog improved.

As a final piece of advice, often times this kind of relationship takes time. Do not rush it. Rather take it as a challenge to find the real bonding with other bloggers.
